Celebrate with Metro World Child 50 years of Pastor Bill Wilson’s ministry!

The ministry, the mountain and the man all come together, as Pastor Bill Wilson celebrates his 70th birthday by climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise $500,000 to provide hope and build futures for children around the world.

Partner with Pastor Bill and help to conquer the “Mountain of Ministry” that lies ahead.

Team 50

Only 50 climbers will have the unique opportunity to journey with Pastor Bill, step by step, to reach the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Stretching 5,895 meters into the sky, Mt. Kilimanjaro is the world’s tallest free- standing mountain, the highest mountain on the African continent and one of the Seven Summits. “Team 50” will climb the 7-day Machame Route, the shorter route but considered the most scenic route, to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro*. On day two of the climb, you will enjoy celebrating Pastor Bill’s 70th birthday!

Metro World Child has partnered with Climb Kili, a respected Kilimanjaro tour operator based in Tanzania. Their guides have been assisting adventurers to climb Kilimanjaro for nearly three decades. They pride themselves in providing the safest Mt. Kilimanjaro treks with their certified equipment and professional guides. For a detailed itinerary and virtual tour, visit www.climbkili.com.

Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro is a strenuous activity over several days, so you should obtain medical clearance from your doctor to make sure you are healthy enough to make the climb

A $500,000 Goal

Klimbing for Kids is an exciting mile-marker as a 50th anniversary celebration for Metro World Child and an opportunity to commemorate Pastor Bill’s 70th birthday. More than ever, Pastor Bill believes that there is still a “Mountain of Ministry” ahead of us. So, we climb!

As a “Team 50” climber you commit to raising a minimum of $7,050 to support Metro World Child’s life-changing work. However, the commitment of 50 climbers leaves us $150,000 short of our goal. For those unable to join in the Mt. Kilimanjaro climb, there are many opportunities to help support the climb and celebrate Pastor Bill’s birthday so we reach our $500,000 goal—Church partnerships, corporate sponsorships and individual, family and friends virtual climb encouragement giving.
