Purpose - How far do you want to Go

(Inserts taken from Ps Bill Wilson’s book- The Teflon Rhino)

“For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.” -Romans 9:17

A sense of purpose is embedded in the core of our beings, gives reason to why we have been created. Its’ important to understand your purpose but it’s more critical to know how to get there.

Academia gives you knowledge but life experience creates direction to purpose.  It’s a journey of applying what we know that opens up new doors through practical understanding.

Goals are important!

Having a sense of what your destiny is will help guide your life. Your dreams must be combined with passion – a passions that drives you into the lonely pursuit of what others fear or seek.

Success and Significance in life is about going the distance.

  1. Be Careful to walk with God – We must be aware of God’s presence within us and recognize He is there.
  2. Be Confrontational in the Circumstances in your Life – God confronts your position and challenges your purpose; you need to do the same.
  3. Be Compassionate – The purpose of the church is to be compassionate to the poor, the lost, the children and the forsaken and win them where they are.
  4. Be Constantly prepared to Sacrificed – No great thing will ever be done without personal sacrifice. You will have to let go of some good things so that you can embrace the most important things in life. Everything in life is a trade-off…What is your Isaac?

If you desire to get to the place that God has designed for you. To go all the distance, you must learn and you must lean hard into the wind, push past the pain and build a room without doors.

Your commitment has to be stronger than your emotions. Some of you better start working out!

Last Thought: Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me -Philippians 3:12
